Starting business with a sewing machine, overlocker, faith, optimism and the Common Prayer Book Barbara opened for business at Ocean Shores, NSW and has not looked back since.

From a humble beginning Barbara's business prospered by treating each client as the most important part of her business, a philosophy that remains at the forefront of each new project. Each customer, new or repeat business (and Barbara gets a lot of repeat business) knows that they will receive her full attention to detail, and 'perfection' is essential. Barbara's simple motto is 'If it's not good enough for my home, it's not good enough for my customer.'

Within 12 months Barbara opened her first store at Ocean Shores Shopping Village, then 18 months later moved to larger and more prominent premises at Mullumbimby, NSW where the business operates from today.

Compass Curtains has deservedly won a huge following in the Byron Shire by adhering to strict quality control, value for money and a strong after sales service support system.

Today Compass has a vast array of clients ranging from numerous householders to project builders, retirement and aged care facilities, hospitals, motels, public hotels, tourist resorts, short term holiday letting apartments, private investors, real estate agents and various other individuals and businesses that rely on Barbara each day to solve their décor puzzles.
